Hello Everyone,

WaterMoon Refuge has it’s very own home as of January 1st, 2009.

As you know, I’ve been looking at lots of options. Finding space that would work, be able to be made beautiful, something affordable, convenient……the list goes on.

A few weeks ago, someone took me to a place that she had an intuition about. She felt it would be the perfect place for us. She was right. Imagine ochre villas, only three miles from me, a three story circular grouping of offices, with orange awnings, porches, curving sidewalks, flowers galore, full of therapists and healers and – two swans in a pond in the middle. And - there was a 'for lease' sign in front.

I called the next day only to find that the space for rent was too expensive (although what I was looking at for similar amounts was a far cry from this spot). I mentioned this to a friend I walk with, someone who works in this place. She connected me with someone she knew who wanted to sub-let her space in order to work at home. I went to look and meet. The second floor space is entered through an open waiting room room. It is 600 square feet, beautifully carpeted, one whole wall glass that opens onto a large porch overlooking swans and flowers. It could not be a more perfect new beginning – except the rent was $1100.00 a month.

When I explained this, she asked me to meet with my Board (we had a meeting already planned for the following Saturday) and make her an offer. We did. $800.00 a month for one year. The offer was accepted. She uses it one day a week and we get six. She has been most generous and amenable.

Everything unfolded in only 3 1/2 days. Located at Century Center, just north of I-85, it's convenient to all Atlanta. Watch for announcements about silent sittings, programs, retreats and more. If you’re not on the mailing list please sign up on this web site under "Contact.”

I’m filled with amazement and gratitude at what can happen when surrender, total surrender takes place within us. Not easy to do.

Thanks to Ginger Pyron and Craig Thomas, WaterMoon’s Board members, for their passion, efforts and insights, and to all of you for your own loving support in so many ways.

We still need your help. Tax-deductible donations may be made out to: WaterMoon Refuge and sent to: Swami Lotus at: 1826 Briarvista Way, Atlanta GA 30329. We are taking the steps as they present themselves and feel right. No pressure. No hurry. Ongoing trust and a faithful belief in That Which Knows to see us through.

Loving peace,
Swami Lotus
