Hello Everyone,
Thanks to you, on January 1st WaterMoon Refuge begins its fourth year at Century Lake.
The physical changes in our Refuge over the years are immediately visible: our teak furniture, the glider and new umbrella on the deck, the flowers blooming throughout the year. The inner changes at WaterMoon, though not apparent to the eye, are incalculable.
It’s not easy to be still in the midst of a busy life, but over and over, transformation has manifested in people who make this choice. Our quiet times at WaterMoon are invitations to go deeper into what matters. There are no demands, no systems, just sitting still. Yet this practice brings great change – naturally.
I’m ever more deeply aware of how essential WaterMoon Refuge is. At this safe, beautiful place, life becomes simpler. As stillness spreads throughout our being, the world itself becomes more peaceful through us. Every time I enter the Refuge, I am grateful to the Way that placed me there, and grateful to you who support it.
WaterMoon Refuge completes 2011 in grace and gratefulness. Our lease will be renewed, and we will continue to be available to all, ever steady in stillness.
May your mind dwell in the infinite. May every blessing be yours in the coming year.

Donations to WaterMoon Refuge go only toward the rental and operational costs of our beautiful setting, never to me personally. For such a lovely spot—in the midst of Atlanta, at a convenient location, and within a group of quiet offices clustered around a small lake—our expenses are quite reasonable. To meet them, we depend entirely on gifts.
Serving WaterMoon Refuge continues to be a source of joy. As a Board, Craig and Ginger and I have done our best to listen and respond, allowing WaterMoon itself to show us the way toward decisions. The essence of the Refuge, however, is you. Your affirmation and your support have made this place possible and will enable it to continue.
Whether or not you’re among those who gather to sit silently here at WaterMoon, you benefit from this one-of-a-kind presence. The radiance that emanates from WaterMoon Refuge touches all.
